Miuccia Prada said it best, “What you wear is how you present yourself to the world, especially today, when human contacts are so quick. Fashion is instant language.” This is especially true in the community I live in— high school, where it seems a book is only as good as its cover. Where a “Supreme” court of teenagers create the rules on what is cool. In a community of kids wearing skin tight jeans, ostentatious sneakers, and judgmental eyes searching for a red rectangle reading “Obey”, I choose to disobey.
